Job summary

Kraken is seeking a world-class Senior Frontend Engineer to join our Consumer team. You will design, develop, and maintain high-quality features across web (React) and mobile (React Native), owning the full experience from concept to production monitoring.

You will collaborate with Product, Design, Data, and Platform teams, drive A/B testing, and stay ahead of React ecosystem tooling, React Server Components, and AI-assisted workflows to ship fast with quality.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional software development focused on consumer-facing web/mobile products.
• Strong TypeScript and React ecosystem knowledge with architecture trade-offs.
• Production React Native experience including app release pipelines.
• Experience with Next.js App Router, React Server Components, and client/server boundaries.
• A/B testing, feature flags, and experimentation platforms experience.
• Real-time UI updates via WebSockets or SSE.
• Solid testing culture using Jest/RTL/Playwright/Cypress and appropriate tooling.
• Familiar with modern build tooling (Vite/Webpack) and performance profiling.
• Experience in fintech/crypto payments or high-trust consumer products.
• Excellent written and spoken English; able to document RFCs and explain trade-offs.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality consumer features across web (React) and mobile (React Native).
• Own the full lifecycle from discovery to release, monitoring, and iteration.
• Lead A/B testing and experimentation, forming hypotheses and analyzing results.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, Data, and Mobile engineers for coherent experiences.
• Make informed technical decisions on framework and architecture choices.
• Set standards for code quality, accessibility, performance, and testability.
• Mentor engineers across levels and promote craft culture.
• Lead cross-platform initiatives across web and mobile.
• Stay ahead with React ecosystem tooling, Server Components, and streaming.
• Work AI-natively with structured workflows across the SDLC.
