Job summary

ShipStation Global Poland is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a multi-member team and drive end-to-end delivery of complex, international products. You will enhance tools and processes for people management and partner with engineering managers to define workflows and improvements.

We value professionals who can mentor, design low-latency APIs using DDD, and apply Agile/DevOps practices across the full product lifecycle. Polish and English fluency are required for this role.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience leading multi-member teams and delivering complex projects.
• Strong background in designing, building, and deploying AWS-based solutions with quality focus.
• Deep understanding of Domain-Driven Design for low-latency, high-throughput API systems.
• Proven track record applying Agile, Lean and DevOps practices to project execution.
• Experience writing automated tests (unit/integration) and strong CI/CD discipline.
• Proficiency in at least one OO language and related frameworks.
• Experience in cloud infrastructure automation (Terraform/Ansible/Chef/Puppet).
• Fluent in Polish and English; willingness to work in an international environment.

• Ensure code quality and functionality through production and maintenance phases.
• Uphold processes, projects and systems quality across the team.
• Define service features and components under team responsibility.
• Drive continual improvement of processes and engineering practices.
• Communicate progress and issues to team and management clearly.
• Act as a trusted technical authority and provide engineering guidance.
• Lead discussions on team architecture and design strategies.
• Mentor less experienced developers.
