Job summary

Auctane is expanding its Engineering team in Poland and seeks an Engineering Manager who will significantly impact team operations and processes. You will enhance tools for people management, collaborate to define new workflows, and implement improvements across international products.

The role emphasizes leadership, technical excellence in AWS and API design, and a culture of continuous improvement while developing career paths for team members.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in designing, building, and deploying AWS-based solutions.
• Deep knowledge of designing and delivering low-latency, high-throughput API systems using DDD.
• Proficient in Agile, Lean, and DevOps; capable of leading project execution.
• Experience in writing automated tests and implementing CI/CD practices.
• Proficient in at least one object-oriented programming language / framework.
• Experience with cloud automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
• Strong collaboration, mentoring, and recruitment involvement.
• Fluent in Polish and English.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a multi-member engineering team.
• Define and implement workflows and improvements with engineering managers.
• Ensure code quality and reliability through production phases.
• Define service features and components under the team’s responsibility.
• Mentor junior developers and participate in recruitment.
• Communicate progress, achievements, and decisions to stakeholders.
