Job summary

Roche is seeking an Engineer (Software/Data), AI-Native Data & Applications to help build AI-powered data products in Snowflake on AWS. You will design, develop, and own data products that enable data-driven decisions for life-saving diagnostics within the Dia R&D PPM division.

The role embraces a hybrid work model with in-office days two days per week, and collaboration across global teams to accelerate patient care through modern data tech and AI-enabled workflows.

At Roche, we offer a hybrid work model that combines flexibility with in-person collaboration. For now, we require our employees to be in our offices on average two days per week. This role is based in the Dia R&D Portfolio & Project Management (PPM) division, which is dedicated to enabling data-driven decisions for life-saving diagnostic solutions. You will join us on the journey to transform enterprise IT in the era of AI, building AI-native solutions, from the digital data products that power PPM decision-making to the custom applications becoming a core part of our tech stack. Operating within a modern Data Mesh framework, you will act as a core data product expert, designing, building, and owning digital data products in Snowflake and AWS. Your engineering work will directly enable Roche to prioritize clinical innovations and bring them to market faster, transforming patient care.

The Opportunity:

AI-Native Software Development: Use AI-assisted development as the default way you build, across data pipelines, transformations, and applications alike, helping define what modern, AI-native engineering looks like inside a large enterprise.

Build & Architect Modern Data Products: Design, develop, and support scalable data products within Snowflake deployed on AWS, leveraging DBT for sophisticated transformation workflows and managing/deploying Data Vault architectures.
