Job summary

Lufthansa Technik in Wrocław invites an Engine Type Engineer to develop and implement maintenance strategies for specific engine types, focusing on cost-efficient shop visits and lifecycle optimization.

You will control shop visits, define maintenance scopes, and monitor KPIs while coordinating with Lufthansa Group airlines to plan retirements and spare engine needs. Strong analytical skills and English proficiency are required; German is a plus.

Qualifications

Technical degree from a university/technical college.
3+ years of relevant professional experience.
English very good; German language is advantageous.
Engine knowledge is advantageous.
Strong analytical and conceptual skills.
Able to guide and train other employees.
SAP, AMOS, Flydocs and MS Office skills.
Independent, flexible and able to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement maintenance strategies for engine types.
Control and monitor shop visits performed by the MRO provider.
Define maintenance scope, parts exchange approval and monitor KPIs.
Manage engineering and optimize maintenance processes, materials, tools and systems.
Ensure availability and on-time delivery of engines; optimize costs.
Determine maintenance strategy and evaluate engine condition.
Plan retirements and coordinate phase-outs; liaise with Lufthansa Group airlines.
Determine required number of spare engines and assign AOG spares.
Coordinate phase-out planning with Lufthansa Group airlines.
