Job summary

Eastern Shawnee Staffing Services, in partnership with Indian Health Services, seeks an Emergency Department Physician for a 1099 contract at Hopi Health Care Center in Polacca, Arizona. You will deliver high-quality emergency care in a collaborative, fast-paced setting with 12-hour shifts.

Must have MD/DO, board certified or eligible in Emergency Medicine, active US license, current ACLS/PALS/BLS and DEA registration.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited institution.
• Board certified or board eligible in Emergency Medicine (preferred).
• Current medical license in the United States.
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience.
• Experience treating both adult and pediatric patients.

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency medical care to patients presenting with a wide range of conditions and acuity levels.
• Perform patient evaluations, diagnose medical conditions, and develop appropriate treatment plans.
• Manage emergency department patients from initial assessment through disposition.
• Stabilize patients experiencing acute illness or injury.
• Collaborate with nursing staff, specialists, and other healthcare professionals.
• Order and interpret diagnostic testing, laboratory results, and imaging studies.
• Provide patient and family communication regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and follow-up care.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR).
