Job summary

Fluence is seeking a Senior Sales Engineer to support the EMEA Sales team by translating customer requirements into optimized energy storage solutions and compelling technical proposals. You will act as a trusted technical advisor, guiding customers through the sales process and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver turnkey projects.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering or a related technical discipline.
Minimum of two years of relevant professional experience within the power industry.
Strong ability to analyze and solve complex technical challenges while clearly communicating solutions and outcomes.
Previous experience with offer management and/or technical contract review.
Experience working with CRM platforms and engineering tools such as Salesforce and CAD.
Proven experience in energy storage, solar, power generation, or industrial balance of plant environments (including EPC projects).
Understanding of local standards, codes, and regulatory requirements.
Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for innovation and the ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple parallel activities.
Demonstrated ownership mentality with a strong drive to close opportunities and contribute to Fluence's business objectives.
Excellent coordination, collaboration, and communication skills.
Comfortable working in a highly collaborative, fast-paced, and informally structured environment.
Fluent in written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

Transform customer requirements into compelling, optimized technical energy storage solution proposals.
Provide product configuration guidance and support to Sales teams.
Develop and enhance sales tools and support materials.
Lead evaluation and selection of installation contractor proposals.
Collaborate with Sales teams to negotiate technical aspects of customer contracts.
Translate customer technical requirements into insights to shape future product roadmaps.
Support development of system designs meeting local codes and regulatory requirements.
Identify technical deviations and coordinate across teams to resolve them.
Travel throughout EMEA to engage with customers, partners, and stakeholders.
