Job summary

Seargin is seeking an experienced test engineer to validate firmware across embedded devices while integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines. You will analyze defects, define test coverage for new features, and develop test frameworks in a globally distributed setup.

Requirements include a CS/engineering bachelor’s, 5+ years in Python automation, embedded systems knowledge, and experience with GitHub/GitLab and Jenkins. Fluency in English is essential for collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related IT field.
• 5+ years of practical test automation experience in Python.
• Knowledge of networks and embedded systems or RTOS such as QNX or VxWorks.
• Experience developing test frameworks or testing tools.
• 5+ years in embedded firmware testing, defect analysis, and issue resolution.
• Experience with CI/CD systems (e.g., Jenkins).
• Fluent English at B2 level or higher.

• Feature Validation
  • Verify network protocols, controller runtime functions, and platform or OS services.
• Test Automation
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and improve automated testing workflows.
• Analyze defects, identify root causes using debugging techniques, and prioritize critical issues.
• Test Frameworks
  • Develop and maintain test frameworks and test environments.
• Test Coverage
  • Participate in requirements reviews and define test coverage for new features.
• Test Documentation
• Create test cases, test plans, and test documentation.
• Maintain traceability between requirements, tests, and defects while identifying coverage gaps.
• Define testing strategies for new features and system components.
• Participate in Agile/SAFe activities, including planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Support automation and CI/CD adoption and improve testing and development processes.
• Mentor less experienced engineers and support knowledge sharing within global teams.

• Education
