Job summary

GlobalLogic in Wrocław, Poland, is seeking a Junior or Mid-Level Test Engineer to perform system-level manual testing of freezers, refrigerators, and wine coolers. You will work with embedded systems to monitor variables, validate behavior, and document results in a fast-paced process.

The role offers exposure to automation in the future, with emphasis on quality, collaboration with the client, and hands-on testing across Linux-based environments.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of software testing experience.
• Experience in embedded systems testing.
• Experience with Linux-based environments.
• Good understanding of manual testing methodologies and QA processes.
• Experience creating and maintaining test documentation (test cases, test plans, test reports).
• Higher education in Electronics, Robotics, Information Technology, or related field.
• Intermediate or higher English.
• Ability to take ownership and ensure high-quality delivery.
• Strong communication and stakeholder collaboration.
• Knowledge of test automation using Python would be a plus.

Currently, we are looking for a strong Junior or Mid-Level Test Engineer to perform system-level manual testing of freezers, refrigerators, and wine coolers.

Have you ever wondered how much software is hidden inside a refrigerator, freezer, or wine cooler?

Modern home appliances rely on complex embedded systems consisting of multiple nodes connected through a communication network. These systems continuously monitor parameters such as temperature and pressure, process collected data, and control components such as motors, heaters, coolers, valves, pumps, and fans. At the same time, they must respond to changing user requirements and adapt their behavior in real time.

Although often underestimated, testing software for home appliances is a challenging and highly responsible task. Our testing process is well organized and focused on quality at every stage. We design and execute manual tests, analyze results, and continuously seek opportunities for improvement. Our customer is also planning to introduce automated testing in the future, making knowledge of test automation in Python an additional advantage.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in software testing
• Experience in embedded systems testing
• Experience working with Linux-based environments
• Good understanding of manual testing methodologies and QA processes
• Experience in creating and maintaining test documentation (test cases, test plans, and test reports)
• Higher education in Electronics, Robotics, Information Technology, or a related field
• Intermediate or higher level of English
• Ability to take ownership of assigned tasks and ensure high-quality delivery
• Strong communication skills, including progress reporting and collaboration with stakeholders
• Ability to search for, gather, analyze, and process information required for task completion
• Knowledge of test automation using Python would be a plus
