ASSA ABLOY Group is seeking an Embedded Linux Developer in Kraków to build and maintain a Yocto-based distribution for NXP and NVIDIA platforms. You will work autonomously on site while collaborating with the team in Austria, focusing on kernel drivers, secure boot, and OTA updates.

Qualifications

• Deep Yocto Project expertise across layers, recipes and BSP customization.
• Kernel driver development and BSP adaptation for specific SoCs (NXP/NVIDIA).
• Strong C skills; Linux debugging with gdb/strace and hardware bring-up.
• Security-focused development: secure boot, OTA updates, CVE awareness.
• Documentation and code reviews using Git workflows.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain SKIDATA's embedded Linux distribution (Yocto-based) on NXP i.MX6/i.MX8M Plus and NVIDIA Tegra.
• Collaborate with the wider team, on-site in Kraków, while aligning with colleagues in Austria.
• Support hardware bring-up and debugging via UART/JTAG, and contribute to BSP maintenance.
