Job summary

Capgemini Engineering Poland seeks an embedded Linux engineer to join the Common Linux team. You will work on Yocto-based distributions across multiple product lines and hardware platforms, contributing to kernel and user-space work.

This international, collaborative role offers a hybrid office/remote setup after onboarding, opportunities to grow technical expertise, and a path to shape long-term Linux strategy within the team.

Qualifications

• Hands-on embedded Linux development experience across user space and/or kernel space.
• Familiarity with the Yocto Project or Buildroot; willingness to learn Yocto on the job.
• Proficiency in scripting and programming, particularly Bash and Python.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills for Linux-based systems.

Responsibilities

• Integrate and maintain embedded Linux software across existing hardware platforms; support kernel config and debugging.
• Contribute to user-space tooling, scripting, and automation (Bash, Python).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide Linux expertise across product lines.
• Improve internal Linux processes, testing pipelines, and technical documentation.
• Grow into contributing to platform architecture and long-term Linux strategy.
