ASSA ABLOY Group in Kraków, Poland is seeking an Embedded Linux Developer to join our team. You will own building and maintaining a Yocto-based embedded Linux distribution for our hardware modules, collaborating with the Austria team, and learning the domain as you go.

The role emphasizes kernel driver work, boot chain, secure boot, and cross-compilation, with strong C skills and hardware bring-up via UART/JTAG.

Qualifications

• Requires deep Yocto Project expertise with layers, recipes, BSP customization and releases management.
• Kernel driver development experience—porting drivers, BSP adaptation, boot chain knowledge (U-Boot, secure boot).
• Solid C knowledge; Linux debugging proficiency (gdb, strace, perf) and hardware bring-up via UART/JTAG.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain a Yocto-based embedded Linux distribution for hardware modules (NXP i.MX6, i.MX8M Plus, NVIDIA Tegra).
• Collaborate with cross-site teams (Austria) and internal stakeholders.
• Contribute to secure boot, OTA update strategies, and patching of the Yocto stack.
