Job summary

Siemens AG is seeking a qualified engineer to join our software team and develop design methodologies for Siemens EDA Xpedition products. You will work with customers to articulate how the tool suite improves design performance and meet Time-To-Market goals while driving development flow efficiencies.

The role requires strong communication, programming/scripting skills, and experience with cloud deployments and EDM design libraries. Flexible working arrangement is offered.

Qualifications

• BS degree with strong engineering background.
• Experience with EDM design & library methodology, tools, and design flow.
• Knowledge of database administration and optimization within cloud deployments.
• Understanding of networking concepts and security best practices in a cloud environment.
• Strong programming and scripting skills (Python, VBScript).
• Experience with Siemens EDA Xpedition tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop design methodologies to exploit and expand use of Siemens EDA Xpedition products and improve customer design flows.
• Consult and present to customers to articulate how Xpedition tool suite enhances performance of their designs.
• Liaise with EBS product division and support advanced development, customizations, and CLS generated applications for customers.

Responsibilities

This candidate will be a member of a multi-disciplinary team and will develop design methodologies to exploit and expand use of Siemens EDA Xpedition products. The candidate will need strong communication skills consulting and presenting to customers to articulate how the Siemens EDA Xpedition tool suite will help them to enhance the performance of the innovative technologies in their designs. The candidate will need to point out gaps in the customers design flow and articulate what is possible to increase the customer’s design capability while driving efficiencies in their development flow to meet their Time-To-Market (TTM) goals with high quality. The candidate must have experience in design and data management, ability to understand and accommodate customer IT architectures, databases, and strong programming and scripting skills associated with the intended focus.

We are looking for a person who is or can grow into a technical leadership position, potentially guiding new recruits in support of the overall System Practice. The candidate will liaison with our EBS product division, especially in areas of advanced development, customizations, development, and maintenance of CLS generated applications used in advanced processes in our customer base.

• Knowledge in PCB HW Development Methodology
• Experience with Siemens EDA Xpedition tools
• Knowledge in SW development.
• Knowledge in both EDM design & library methodology, tools, and design flow.
• Understanding of networking concepts and security best practices in a cloud environment.
• Knowledge of database administration and optimization within cloud deployments.
• Ability to troubleshoot and optimize performance for EDM environments hosted in a cloud infrastructure.
• Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g. Python, VBScript).
• Knowledge of programming languages (e.g. Java)
• Good written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
• Self-motivated and have the ability to work effectively.
• BS degree with strong engineering background. MS Preferred – or equivalent
