Job summary

Your Jared in Warsaw, Poland, is seeking a Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations Functional Consultant to blend functional consulting with regression test automation. The role involves configuring modules, coordinating UAT, and supporting post-go-live activities in a mid-level, mostly remote setup.

You will build automated regression suites using RSAT and Task Recorder, manage tests in Azure DevOps, and adapt to evolving automation tooling as RSAT ecosystem winds down by 2027.

Qualifications

• 3-4+ years as a D365 F&O functional consultant in delivery, consulting, or support.
• Strong knowledge of Finance, SCM, or Production modules.
• Hands-on RSAT and Task Recorder experience.
• Experience with Azure DevOps for test plans and defect tracking.
• Fluent English and ability to work in cross-functional teams.
• Willingness to adapt to evolving automation tooling after RSAT sunset.

Responsibilities

Combine core D365 functional consulting with hands‑on regression test automation. Translate business requirements into functional specifications, configure D365 F&O modules, coordinate UAT, and provide post‑go‑live support. Build and maintain automated regression test suites using RSAT and Task Recorder, manage them in Azure DevOps, keep them updated across D365 releases, and be ready to transition to newer automation tooling as the RSAT ecosystem evolves.

Responsibilities

Functional

• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements with stakeholders
• Translate requirements into functional specifications
• Configure D365 F&O modules (Finance, SCM, Production, Warehouse Management, Master Planning, depending on specialization)
• Prepare functional documentation: process flows, configuration guides, user manuals
• Coordinate UAT with the business, triage defects, and manage retesting
• Deliver end‑user training and post‑go‑live support
• Act as a liaison between business, development, and implementation partners

Testing and automation

• Record business processes using Task Recorder; publish to Lifecycle Services (LCS) and the Business Process Modeler (BPM) library
• Build and maintain regression test suites (currently using RSAT)
• Parameterize tests through Excel to run the same recorded flow against different data sets
• Manage test plans and test suites in Azure DevOps; review run results
• Keep test suites up to date after D365 updates (interface changes from Microsoft’s continuous release cycle are the main maintenance driver)
• Log and track defects found through automated tests and work with developers to resolve them

Note on tooling and transition period

• Microsoft has marked RSAT for deprecation, with support ending May 15, 2027
• RSAT remains fully supported and is expected to stay in active use for the foreseeable term of this role
• Practice is shifting toward composable and AI‑native test automation platforms (natural‑language test authoring, self‑healing tests, reusable test‑journey libraries)
• Candidate should be comfortable with RSAT today and ready to adopt whichever automation platform the practice migrates to over the next 1-2 years

Requirements

• 3-4+ years of experience as a D365 F&O (or Dynamics AX) Functional Consultant in implementation, consulting, or support roles
• Strong knowledge of at least one core module: Finance, SCM, or Production
• Hands‑on experience with RSAT and Task Recorder
• Experience with Azure DevOps (test plans, test cases, defect tracking)
• Solid understanding of regression testing principles and general test methodology
• Confident with Excel for test data parameterization
• Ability to independently analyze and resolve complex functional issues
• Fluent English; comfortable working in cross‑functional, multicultural teams
• Openness to adopting new test automation tooling as the RSAT ecosystem winds down toward 2027

Nice to have

• MB-300, MB-310, or MB-330 certification
• Experience with Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse) and Logic Apps
• Exposure to integration testing beyond core F&O (RSAT does not cover end‑to‑end scenarios through portals, e‑commerce, or third‑party systems)
• Familiarity with next‑generation no‑code/AI test automation platforms (natural‑language authoring, self‑healing test maintenance) or composable testing approaches
