Job summary

Ajaia is hiring a Director of IT & Security to own the full scope of internal IT operations, information security, and compliance across a multi‑cloud, multi‑country organization. This is a hands‑on leadership role.

You will build and maintain the systems, policies, and infrastructure that keep the company running securely while driving automation wherever possible. You will own internal IT (devices, access, onboarding), security posture (policies, monitoring, incident response), and compliance

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, CS, cybersecurity or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years in IT operations, security, cloud admin or compliance.
• Hands‑on multi‑cloud experience (GCP and Azure) and audit readiness.
• Strong policy creation, access controls, incident response skills.
• Ability to work autonomously in a fast‑paced, remote, distributed setup.

Responsibilities

• Own internal IT, security posture and compliance across multi‑cloud environments.
• Lead automation using AI tools and streamline monitoring and reporting.
• Develop, implement and enforce security policies, access controls and incident response.
• Prepare for external audits (HIPAA, SOC 2) and manage vendor risk.
• Initially individual contributor with potential to build a small team.
