Job summary

Alcon Polska is seeking a full-stack Product Designer (UI/UX) for its Digital Health unit to translate user needs, business requirements, and technical limitations into intuitive experiences. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary agile product team and shape design across our digital health solutions.

As a full-stack designer, you will conduct research, create wireframes and prototypes, and ensure consistency across platforms while aligning with brand standards.

Qualifications

• BSc in Design, Computer Science or relevant field and 3 years of professional experience as Digital Product Designer.
• Strong UX practices including planning and conducting user research, testing, rapid prototyping and usability.
• Experience with standard UX software (Figma, Dovetail) and knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct user research to understand insights, define personas, and map journeys.
• Create wireframes, task flows, screen mock-ups, and interactive prototypes.
• Design visually appealing experiences that are consistent across platforms and devices.
• Develop concepts, storyboards, interaction designs, and prototypes.

Alcon is looking to hire a full-stack Product Designer (UI/UX) for our Digital Health unit to translate user needs, business requirements and any technical limitations into intuitive user experiences.

Our Digital Health team plays an instrumental role in our push to improving customer experience with cutting-edge technology solutions. The team focuses on helping eye care professionals work effectively and improve patient outcomes by innovating the supply chain for critical eye care products and equipment.

As a full-stack Product Designer, you will be responsible for the end-to-end design process of digital products, from planning and conducting design research to designing user interfaces and experiences. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary agile product team to design intuitive and compelling digital health experiences across our suite of digital healthcare solutions. We are a new and fast-growing team which will give you the opportunity to shape our ways of working and culture - think start-up, but inside a global leader in eye care.

In this role, a typical day will include:

• Conduct user research to discover insights, define user personas, and map user journeys to inform the design process.

• Skilled in creating a range of design artifacts, including wireframes, task flows, screen mock-ups, and interactive prototypes, with a focus on intuitive user experience.

• Create visually appealing and user-friendly digital experiences that are consistent across multiple platforms, devices, and channels.

• Develop new product concepts, storyboards, detailed interaction designs and screen flows, and prototypes to clearly articulate solutions.

• Conduct concept and usability testing to iteratively validate and improve solutions.

• Actively collaborate as part of an agile team to ensure designs are feasible and implemented accurately.

• Identify design problems and devise elegant solutions in alignment with the brand.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO ALCON:

• BSc in Design, Computer Science or relevant field and 3 years of professional experience working as Digital Product Designer SaaS, life science or a fast-paced environment

• A solid grasp of user-centered design (UCD), planning and conducting user research, user testing, A/B testing, rapid prototyping, heuristic analysis, usability and accessibility concerns.

• Expertise in standard UX software such as Figma and Dovetail and the like is a must. Basic HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript skills are a plus.

• Be curious and inquisitive, take appropriate risks and champion new ideas.

• Ability to work with stakeholders and subject matter experts to understand detailed requirements and design complete user experiences that meet user needs and vision.

• Expertise in utilizing top design software and tools like Figma, FigJam, Miro, Maze, and Dovetail, with the ability to quickly adapt to new tools as needed.

• Demonstrates a passion for transforming complex concepts into user-friendly digital experiences that adhere to brand standards and enhance user engagement.

• Integrates human-centered design principles, employing both qualitative and quantitative research methods to weave together a narrative that resonates with users and stakeholders.

• Experienced in developing and utilizing component-based design systems that allow for scalability and consistency across various platforms and devices.

• Expertise in utilizing top design software and tools like Figma, FigJam, Miro, Maze, and Dovetail, with the ability to quickly adapt to new tools as needed.

• Collaborative team player with excellent communication skills, able to work cross-functionally with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality design solutions.

• Continuously seeks to stay updated with the latest UI/UX trends, technologies, and best practices to drive innovation within the design function.
