Alcon is seeking an Associate Data Scientist to join ITCI’s AI Center of Excellence in Warsaw. You will build model-ready datasets and predictive/prescriptive ML models, then interpret outputs for business units.

Expect collaboration with multiple stakeholders, maintaining deployed models, and delivering actionable insights using Python, SQL, and AWS Sagemaker within a hybrid work setup in Warsaw.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Economics, Business Analytics, Engineering, or related field.
• Advanced level of English.
• 1-2 years of related experience.
• Ability to write intermediate to advanced SQL queries – Must have.
• Strong Python coding experience with AWS Sagemaker and optimization techniques.
• Ability to engineer optimal datasets to power ML models.
• Experience managing data pipelines and/or model maintenance and registry.
• Ability to build meaningful ML/AI models for business use and communicate insights to stakeholders.
• Detail oriented, organized, and collaborative with multiple stakeholders.
• Experience with Agile development practices.
• Beginner to intermediate level experience with Alteryx.
• Ability to build production level reports in Tableau.

As an Associate Data Scientist and as part of ITCI’s AI Center of Excellence, we have vast amounts of use cases across the enterprise that require predictive and prescriptive data science skills. This role will provide support to our Data Science workstream by building model ready datasets, predictive/prescriptive ML models, and providing high quality interpretations of model outputs to each of our business units. In this role, a typical day will include:

• Build and maintain ML models that provide predictive and prescriptive recommendations to the business.
• Interpret models on behalf of the business to provide actionable insights.
• Aid in presentation of key findings of projects to core stakeholders.
• Maintain and update deployed models as needed.
• AWS Sagemaker needed.
• Thoroughly analyze and comprehend business use cases to extract comprehensive insights and requirements.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO ALCON:

• Education: bachelor’s or master’s degree (Data Science, Computer Science, Economics, Business Analytics, Engineering, etc.)
• Advanced level of English
• 1-2 years of related experience.
• Ability to write intermediate to advanced SQL queries – Must have.
• Strong Python coding experience and experience with AWS Sagemaker Linear & non-linear programming and optimization techniques.
• Ability to formulate objective functions subject to constraints and bring to resolution
• Ability to engineer optimal datasets to power ML Models.
• Experience managing data pipelines and/or model maintenance and registry
• Ability to build meaningful ML/AI models for business use.
• Ability to extract complex meaningful insights and interpret them to business stakeholders.
• High learning agility
• Detail oriented and organized.
• Strong collaboration experience and willingness to work with multiple stakeholders.
• Ability to create visualizations that communicate insights within complex data.
• Experience with the following Atlassian Tools: Jira & Confluence.
• Experience of Agile development practices.
• Beginner to intermediate level experience to Alteryx
• Ability to build production level reports in Tableau.
