Job summary

2ops is seeking a Lead DevSecOps Solution Architect to provide architectural leadership across multiple international client projects. You will engage with Client Delivery Managers and Project Engineers, guiding technical discovery, design, DevSecOps strategy, and complex escalations.

This client-facing leadership role combines solution architecture, consulting, presales, mentoring, and delivery governance, not a traditional single-project engineer role.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in DevOps/DevSecOps across cloud platforms.
• Experience as a senior architect/lead with client-facing delivery.
• Hands-on knowledge of Microsoft Azure and IaC tooling.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical discovery, architecture workshops, and assessments.
• Translate business needs into secure, scalable cloud architectures.
• Design Azure, hybrid-cloud, DevSecOps, and operational architectures.
• Define roadmaps, dependencies, risks, and acceptance criteria.
• Review CI/CD pipelines, IaC, and security controls.
• Mentor engineers and guide technical decisions across projects.
• Contribute to presales, proposals, and client presentations.
• Develop reusable reference architectures and delivery standards.

Job description

2ops is looking for a Lead DevSecOps Solution Architect to provide architectural leadership and technical oversight across multiple international client projects.

You will work closely with Client Delivery Managers and Project Engineers, leading technical discovery, solution design, DevSecOps strategy, delivery reviews, and complex technical escalations.

This is a client-facing leadership position combining solution architecture, DevSecOps, technical consulting, presales, mentoring, and delivery governance. It is not a traditional people-management role or a full-time engineering assignment on a single project.

What You'll Do

• Lead technical discovery, assessments, and architecture workshops.
• Translate business requirements into secure, scalable, reliable, and cost-effective cloud solutions.
• Design Azure, hybrid-cloud, DevSecOps, platform, networking, security, and operational architectures.
• Define technical approaches, implementation roadmaps, dependencies, assumptions, and risks.
• Prepare and validate technical backlogs, estimates, acceptance criteria, and delivery plans.
• Review architecture, Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD pipelines, security controls, and key deliverables.
• Ensure solutions meet security, reliability, scalability, observability, compliance, and production-readiness requirements.
• Guide and mentor Project Engineers without taking over their day-to-day implementation ownership.
• Support engineers with complex technical decisions, blockers, and escalations.
• Participate in presales, proposal preparation, technical estimation, and client presentations.
• Act as a trusted technical advisor to CTOs, engineering teams, architects, and security stakeholders.
• Develop reusable reference architectures, Terraform modules, pipeline templates, standards, and delivery practices.
• Support technical interviews, onboarding, and knowledge-sharing activities.
• Identify modernization, automation, security, reliability, and cost-optimization opportunities.

Requirements

• Strong professional experience in DevOps, DevSecOps, Cloud, Platform Engineering, SRE, or Infrastructure Engineering.
• Previous experience as a DevOps Architect, Cloud Architect, Solution Architect, Technical Lead, or similar senior technical role.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of Microsoft Azure.
• Experience with Terraform and/or Bicep.
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD, preferably GitHub Actions, Azure Pipelines, or GitLab CI/CD.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, and preferably AKS.
• Good understanding of cloud networking, identity, RBAC, secrets management, monitoring, backup, and disaster recovery.
• Practical knowledge of cloud security, policy-as-code, vulnerability scanning, and secure software delivery.
• Experience with architecture reviews, technical assessments, estimation, and production-readiness validation.
• Strong client-facing, consulting, presentation, and technical documentation skills.
• Ability to mentor engineers and lead technical decisions across multiple projects.
• Professional English communication skills.
