Job summary

SoftServe is seeking a Senior Cloud Platform Engineer to design and operate Azure-based platforms with a strong emphasis on security, resilience, and scalable architecture.

You will lead IaC adoption, CI/CD modernization, and AKS-based workloads while collaborating across engineering, security, and product teams to drive cloud innovation and governance. This role blends hands-on engineering with technical leadership in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and operating enterprise-scale Azure platforms with a focus on architecture, networking, security, governance, resilience, and observability.
• Proven technical leadership with hands-on expertise in IaC, CI/CD, automation, Kubernetes, and cloud-native engineering.
• Experience defining engineering standards, driving platform modernization, mentoring engineers, and influencing technical direction across teams.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and ownership mindset.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, implementation, and evolution of Azure-based cloud platforms and infrastructure.
• Define and promote engineering standards, DevOps best practices, and platform architecture principles.
• Drive the adoption of IaC, automation, and modern CI/CD practices across engineering teams.
• Lead the architecture and operation of AKS platforms and containerized workloads.
• Collaborate with engineering, architecture, security, and product teams to deliver reliable and scalable platform solutions.
• Review infrastructure designs, deployment strategies, and implementation approaches to ensure quality and consistency.
• Drive improvements in platform reliability, observability, performance, resilience, and operational excellence.
• Establish and promote cloud governance, security, compliance, and cost optimization best practices.
• Evaluate and introduce emerging technologies, including AI-powered engineering tools and platform capabilities.
• Contribute to technical roadmaps, platform modernization initiatives, and long-term engineering strategy.
• Remain actively involved in hands-on engineering while providing technical leadership.

You will work with modern cloud technologies, Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code, and automation to create resilient, secure, and highly available platform services. RESPONSIBILITIES

REQUIREMENTS

• Strong hands-on experience designing and operating enterprise-scale Azure platforms, including architecture, networking, security, governance, resilience, and observability
• Proven technical leadership with hands-on expertise in IaC, CI/CD, automation, Kubernetes, and cloud-native engineering
• Experience defining engineering standards, driving platform modernization, mentoring engineers, and influencing technical direction across teams
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and ownership mindset
• Experience with AWS and/or multi-cloud (an advantage)
• Experience with AI platforms and workloads such as LLMs, RAG, vector databases, AI agents, security, and governance (nice to have)
• Knowledge or experience with NVIDIA technologies, Omniverse, Digital Twins, simulation, GPU workloads, or MCP (nice to have)
