10x.team connects expert freelancers with leading AI labs and is seeking experienced DevOps engineers based in the EU or UK to shape how AI understands DevOps in production. This freelance role is remote, 8–20 hours per week, and suited for professionals balancing other projects.

You will review AI-generated outputs on infrastructure automation, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and cloud deployments; evaluate technical accuracy; and draft realistic DevOps scenarios from your own experience.

Formación

• Senior-level DevOps engineer with EU/UK experience.
• Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and IaC.
• Familiar with cloud platforms and deployment automation.

About the Role

10x.team connects expert freelancers with leading AI labs building next-generation models. We are looking for knowledgeable DevOps engineers based in the EU or UK to enhance the accuracy, depth, and real-world relevance of AI-powered DevOps solutions.

What You Will Do

• Review and refine AI-generated outputs related to infrastructure automation, CI/CD pipelines, system monitoring, cloud deployments, and practical aspects of DevOps workflows

• Evaluate AI responses for technical accuracy, reliability, and compliance with real-world requirements

• Draft realistic DevOps scenarios based on your direct professional experience

• Create scenario variations from different perspectives (e.g. DevOps engineer, developer, SRE, or stakeholder)

• Identify gaps, oversights, or weak reasoning in AI-generated DevOps content

In simple terms:
You will assess and improve AI-generated content, ensuring it reflects true DevOps reasoning, authentic documentation, and practical deployment procedures. Rather than conducting traditional DevOps projects, you’ll apply your expertise to help AI systems understand and reason about DevOps practices at scale.

Who You Are

• A senior-level DevOps engineer with significant professional experience within the EU or UK

• Experienced in designing, building, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, cloud platforms, or deployment automation

• Skilled at evaluating system reliability, automation processes, and compliance

• Comfortable working independently and providing structured, critical feedback

• Available for 8–20 hours per week, with prompt availability

At 10x, there are two types of opportunities:

2. AI Lab roles

For AI Lab roles, we scout, review, and approve profiles for access to future project opportunities.

The missions listed for AI Lab roles are not traditional job openings. AI Lab work is often highly confidential as this exposes information of what an AI Lab is working on, and project requests are unpredictable. When an AI Lab request comes in, we often need to respond within 24 hours with suitable talent.

Matching depends on the specific needs of each AI Lab project and your niche expertise. Once your profile is reviewed and approved, you may be matched to relevant AI Lab projects when suitable opportunities arise.

This can happen within hours, but it may also take months, depending on the researchers at the AI labs and their project needs.
