Job summary

BITMUS IT Consulting is seeking a senior OpenShift engineer to design, build, and operate multicluster OpenShift 4 environments for a remote project. You will implement virtual networking, Zero Trust, storage with Ceph/ODF, and observability with Grafana Enterprise.

Experience in IaC, GitLab, Vault, and security architectures is required; remote work with onboarding on site is offered for a 4-month engagement starting 10/2026.

Qualifications

• Expertise designing and operating OpenShift 4 clusters.
• Strong scripting/ IaC skills (Go,Shell, Ansible, Terraform).
• Linux administration with automation experience.
• Hands-on experience with monitoring and security architectures.

The project focuses on designing, building and operating multicluster Red Hat OpenShift 4 environments. The role covers virtual networking, Zero Trust architecture, Red Hat Ceph and OpenShift Data Foundation, Grafana Enterprise, HashiCorp Vault Enterprise and Infrastructure as Code with CI/CD.

• Rate: 85 EUR/h
• Design, build and maintain multicluster solutions with Red Hat OpenShift 4
• Create, manage and optimize OpenShift resources and virtual network infrastructure
• Design, test and implement a Zero Trust network with OpenShift
• Design and implement storage solutions using Red Hat Ceph and Red Hat OpenShift Data Foundation
• Design, build and maintain an Observability stack with Grafana Enterprise
• Design, build and maintain Secret Management with HashiCorp Vault Enterprise
• Design and implement Infrastructure as Code automation with CI/CD
• Your profile:
  • Experience building and operating Red Hat OpenShift 4
  • Programming, scripting and Infrastructure as Code skills, especially Go, Shell, Ansible or Terraform
  • Experience with Linux automation and administration
  • Experience with system administration
  • 3+ years of proven experience across Infrastructure Automation, Configuration Management and GitLab
  • Experience with Prometheus and Grafana Enterprise for monitoring and telemetry
  • Experience implementing security-relevant architectures according to BSI Grundschutz
  • Experience with application and user security using LDAP, SAML2, OIDC or OAuth2
  • Experience operating JFrog Artifactory
  • Experience operating Secret Management tools such as HashiCorp Vault
  • Nice: Experience with hyperscalers such as AWS
  • Nice: Practical Scrum experience
  • Nice: Knowledge of Ceph and XFS storage technologies
