Job summary

Xebia is seeking an experienced AWS DevOps Engineer to join our EU-region team. You will support development teams with knowledge, design solutions, and maintain CI/CD pipelines across cloud and air-gapped on‑prem environments.

Ideal candidates have hands-on AWS experience (EC2, VPC, S3, ECR, CloudFormation), Terraform, Ansible, Docker, and strong English communication. You’ll contribute to automation, monitoring, and continuous improvement in a fast‑paced setting.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience as an AWS DevOps Engineer or in a similar role.
• Practical experience using AI-powered assistants to improve productivity, quality, or decision-making in software delivery.
• Experience with Ansible, Terraform, Bash, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with Docker and Docker Swarm.
• Good knowledge of core AWS services including EC2, CloudFormation, VPC, Subnets, AMIs, ALBs, S3, and ECR.
• Understanding of Infrastructure as Code and cloud infrastructure principles.
• Experience working with both cloud and on-premises, air-gapped environments.
• Good understanding of JSON.

Responsibilities

You will be:

• supporting development teams with product knowledge, technical guidance, and solution design,

Your profile:

• hands‑on experience as an AWS DevOps Engineer or in a similar role,
• practical experience using AI‑powered assistants (e.g. Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor) to improve productivity, quality, or decision‑making in software delivery,
• practical experience with Ansible, Terraform, Bash, Git, and CI/CD pipelines,
• experience with Docker and Docker Swarm,
• good knowledge of core AWS services, including EC2, CloudFormation, VPC, Subnets, AMIs, ALBs, S3, and ECR,
• understand Infrastructure as Code, configuration management, and cloud infrastructure principles,
• experience working with both cloud and on‑premises, air‑gapped environments,
• a good understanding of JSON,
• familiarity with monitoring and observability solutions and have an appreciation of ELK Stack and Grafana,
• experience with firewall management, preferably FortiGate,
• understand Agile development processes and have a strong DevOps mindset,
• good troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills,
• can provide technical guidance and collaborate effectively with development and infrastructure teams,
• proactive and comfortable contributing to technical planning and continuous improvement,
• good English communication skills (at least B2 level).

Work from the European Union region and a work permit are required.
