Job summary

PandaDoc is hiring its first Design Engineer to fuse design and front-end engineering for our Embedded Agreements track. You will own design for API and integrations, ensuring surfaces connect PandaDoc to developers and power users alike.

You will prototype AI-native patterns, collaborate with product, and guide UX across developer and end-user experiences. This role blends design leadership with hands-on code in a fast-paced SaaS environment.

Qualifications

• Strong experience across both design and front-end engineering and shipped interfaces or widely-used components.
• Fluency in React, TypeScript, modern CSS, and comfort with API surfaces and developer tooling.
• Genuine interest in developer experience and curiosity about broadening beyond developers as MCP and AI assistants lower barriers to entry.

Responsibilities

• Own the design of API and integrations areas end to end, from developer-facing surfaces to in-product flows.
• Partner with product and research to shape strategy for surfaces as the market and audience shift.
• Design and prototype AI-native patterns for API surfaces and integrations.
• Shape integrations feel across the product, especially CRM like Salesforce and HubSpot, balancing built-in vs connected flows.
• Prototype ideas in code, from concept to production-grade React components in days.
• Trailblaze the Design Engineer function, owning from problem framing to launch as the first hire.
• Bring technical perspective to design process, sharing patterns and mentoring peers.
• Work AI-first with Cursor and Claude Code, and advocate for high-quality outputs.
