Job summary

AlgoSec is seeking a Deployment Engineer for Eastern Europe to join the Professional Services team and support EMEA customers from Poland. You will deploy, configure, and optimize the Horizon platform, lead technical implementations, and transfer knowledge to customers.

The role requires at least 8 years in a similar field, strong networking and firewall expertise, cloud experience, and the ability to travel up to 80% across EMEA while maintaining high customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years in a technical consulting, deployment, or professional services role in software or cybersecurity.
• Strong enterprise networking knowledge including routing, switching, TCP/IP and architectures.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise firewall technologies from Check Point, Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortinet, Juniper or similar.
• Experience deploying and supporting enterprise security solutions and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and English communication skills.
• Able to travel across EMEA up to 80% and work with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

What You’ll Do

As a Deployment Engineer, you will serve as a trusted technical advisor, helping enterprise customers deploy, configure, and optimize the AlgoSec Horizon platform. Your primary objective is to accelerate customers' time-to-value by delivering successful implementations based on industry best practices while ensuring high customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities include:

• Deploy, configure, and optimize the AlgoSec Horizon platform in enterprise customer environments.
• Lead technical implementation activities, including installation, upgrades, configuration, troubleshooting, and system administration.
• Guide customers on deployment best practices to help them achieve rapid operationalization and business value.
• Deliver customer knowledge transfer sessions and technical training.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues and collaborate closely with R&D, Support, and Product Management to drive timely resolution.
• Work closely with Professional Services, Sales, Customer Success, and Solution Engineering throughout the customer lifecycle.
• Support strategic customer engagements by providing technical expertise and deployment recommendations.
• Contribute to continuous improvement by sharing field feedback, lessons learned, and deployment best practices.
• Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through professionalism, technical excellence, and consultative engagement.

What We're Looking For

• At least 8 years of experience in a similar technical consulting, deployment, or professional services role within a software or cybersecurity company.
• Strong understanding of enterprise networking, including routing, switching, TCP/IP, and network architectures.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise firewall technologies, including Check Point, Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortinet, Juniper, or similar vendors.
• Experience deploying and supporting enterprise security solutions.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, and GCP) and cloud networking/security concepts.
• Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Customer-oriented mindset with the ability to build trusted relationships.
• Strong consulting, presentation, and problem-solving skills. Attention to details.
• Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to perform effectively under pressure. Demonstrating a “make it happen” attitude.
• Team player with a high level of professionalism and integrity.
• Ability to travel across EMEA, including short-notice travel, for up to 80% of working time.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Linux scripting languages (Python, Perl, Bash/Shell).
• Experience with REST APIs and automation.
• Knowledge of virtualization technologies.
• Experience with Software Defined Networking (SDN), cloud networking, or virtual routing.
• Experience with security automation and workflow technologies.
• Proficiency in German, French, or another European language.
