Job summary

Capgemini Invent in Warsaw seeks an experienced Databricks leader to own lakehouse architecture and engagements across cloud platforms. You will guide migrations, data products and ML on Databricks, while steering cost and security considerations.

The role blends hands-on engineering with team leadership, bid activities, and governance alignment. A hybrid work setup in Poland is available; excellent English and client-facing skills are required.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in data engineering or data architecture, including leading engineers or delivery teams.
• Proven delivery of at least two production lakehouse platforms end to end.
• Hands-on knowledge of Spark, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, Lakeflow pipelines and jobs, Databricks SQL and MLflow.
• Strong on one cloud (Azure preferred) and able to work on AWS or GCP.
• Presales experience: solution design, estimation and client presentations.

Responsibilities

• Own the lakehouse architecture on client engagements and cost strategy.
• Lead Databricks programmes end to end and set engineering standards.
• Deliver data engineering, analytics and ML on the platform.
• Lead and grow the Databricks engineering team.
• Run the technical side of bids with solution design and cost models.
• Ensure governance designs land in the platform with Unity Catalog and MLflow.
• Build reusable assets and reference architectures.
• Follow the Databricks roadmap and decide adoption per client.
