Job summary

Sowelo Consulting is seeking a Senior Data Architect to lead end-to-end data platform design and deployment on Databricks across multi-cloud environments. This role is fully remote in Poland and will engage with US-based clients.

You will translate business goals into scalable lakehouse architectures, oversee migrations, and productionize data pipelines while driving client engagements and architectural decisions. Strong consulting and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on data engineering or big data architecture experience.
• Proficient in Python and SQL; expert in distributed computing and Spark.

Responsibilities

• Translate client business objectives into scalable, secure, and cost-optimized data platform architectures.
• Oversee complex implementations, including legacy data warehouse migrations and lakehouse deployments.
• Design, build, and productionize end-to-end data ingestion pipelines using Databricks, Spark, Python, SQL, and cloud-native services.
• Assist in scoping professional services engagements with technical designs and effort estimates.
• Partner with delivery teams, client engineers, and project managers to drive on-time delivery.
• Troubleshoot complex challenges, author architectural docs, and establish best practices.
