Job summary

Commerzbank is seeking a Data Scientist for Sales Analytics to develop pricing solutions using AI and data-driven models. You will work with stakeholders across cross-location teams and leverage Python, SQL, and GCP tools to drive smarter banking decisions.

The role includes deploying models, validating results, and mentoring juniors while contributing to governance and documentation within the GS-DATA Sales Analytics cluster.

Qualifications

• University degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or a comparable field.
• Excellent programming skills in Python (Pandas) and SQL.
• Ideally, experience with Google Cloud Platform including BigQuery, Cloud Composer, Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform, Terraform.
• Solid knowledge of Machine Learning and Generative AI use cases.
• Experience with generative AI/agentic AI frameworks like LangChain or Google's agent development kit.
• Team player with ability to work in cross-location and international teams.
• Strong communication skills in English and Polish.

Responsibilities

• Expanding the product portfolio of corporate client AI teams including ML, DL, RL, generative AI and agentic AI use cases.
• Deploying and monitoring models, optimizing performance.
• Validating model results and performing data preprocessing and feature engineering.
• Collaborating with stakeholders to specify requirements and evaluate Data Science use cases.
• Creating and maintaining technical documentation and AI governance adherence.
• Onboarding and mentoring juniors and sharing knowledge within GS-DATA.

Join our team as a Data Scientist - Sales Analytics!

Your tasks

Do you have experience with Data Science use cases and a passion for pioneering technologies such as Artificial Intelligence and Generative- /Agentic AI? If so, join our GS-DATA Sales Analytics team! You will work closely with our stakeholders to develop optimized pricing solutions.

Our platforms support Commerzbank's salesforces by utilizing cutting-edge technologies like Google Cloud Platform, APIs, Kafka, Python, and SQL, thereby we are paving the way for smarter and more effective banking.

What you will be doing?

• Expanding the product portfolio of our corporate client AI teams including traditional machine learning, deep learning and reinforcement learning models as well as generative AI and agentic AI use cases
• Conducting deployments, including monitoring and optimizing models
• Validating model results
• Data preprocessing, feature engineering, and analyses to identify patterns and trends
• Close coordination and collaboration with stakeholders to specify requirements and evaluate Data Science use cases
• Creating and maintaining technical documentation, and adhering to AI governance guidelines
• Onboarding and mentoring juniors, as well as knowledge sharing within GS-DATA

Your Profile

The Sales Analytics cluster as a part of the GS-DATA key area services the segments corporate customers as well as private and business customers. We combine and consolidate the bank's data to identify customer needs and transform them to sales opportunities using customized analytical models.
