Job summary

SoftwareOne Deutschland GmbH is seeking a Data Scientist - AWS to turn data into actionable insights and build AI-powered solutions on AWS. You will design and deploy ML models and AI workflows, collaborating with clients and cross-functional teams to drive business value.

The role emphasizes hands-on work with AWS data services (S3, Glue, Athena, Redshift, SageMaker), Generative AI, and Bedrock, with a focus on solving complex business challenges in a remote setup for Poland-based operations.

Qualifications

• Professional experience in data, AI, or cloud-focused roles such as Data Scientist, ML Engineer, Data Engineer, Python Developer, or Cloud Engineer.
• Strong programming and analytical skills with Python (pandas, NumPy, boto3) and SQL, with experience in large datasets.
• Hands-on experience with AWS data and AI services including S3, Glue, Athena, Redshift, and SageMaker.
• Experience developing or applying ML, predictive analytics, statistical models, or AI-driven solutions to business problems.
• Strong interest or practical experience in Generative AI, including Bedrock, LLMs, prompt engineering, and cloud-based AI solutions.
• Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills; able to work with clients and deliverables.
• Curiosity and willingness to learn new technologies such as AI Agents, RAG, LangChain, LlamaIndex, Spark, plus AWS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Develop, train, and optimize machine learning, predictive analytics, and Generative AI solutions to address business challenges.
• Analyze and prepare data from multiple sources, ensuring quality and suitability for AI use cases.
• Design, build, and evaluate ML models and AI-driven workflows using AWS services.
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications and contribute to solution design and delivery planning.
• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to present findings and deliver project objectives.
