We are looking for an experienced Data Product Analystto support the delivery of shared data foundations and priority business use cases.
You will connect Product Owners, business users, data governance, architecture and engineering teams, translating business priorities into structured requirements, actionable backlogs and validated product decisions.
This is ahands-on analytical role. We are looking for someone who personally works with requirements, data definitions, mappings, validation and delivery artefacts - not a project coordinator or a dashboard-focused developer.
Key responsibilities
Maintain and refine an integrated backlog across shared data foundations and priority business use cases.
Translate business objectives into use-case canvases, epics, user stories, functional and data requirements, KPIs and acceptance criteria.
Define data requirements, including sources, entities, grain, keys, access needs, business definitions and data-quality expectations.
Work closely with Product Owners, business stakeholders, data engineers, architects and governance teams.
Analyse data using SQL or data-profiling techniques to assess completeness, quality and alignment with agreed business rules.
Identify dependencies, constraints, risks and data gaps early in the delivery process.
Support prototype demonstrations, user testing and iterative requirements refinement.
Gather and document validation evidence to support decisions to stop, iterate, productise or scale individual use cases.
Prepare concise trade‑off analyses, recommendations and decision‑ready materials for delivery leadership and governance forums.
Ensure that requirements remain traceable from initial business objectives through implementation, testing and acceptance.
A prioritised and sequenced backlog with clear ownership, dependencies and decision gates.
Use‑case canvases, epics, user stories and acceptance criteria.
Data and KPI requirements, source mappings and documented gaps.
Validation evidence and recommendations for subsequent delivery stages.
Decision‑ready materials and a structured forward backlog.
Required experience
At least 5 years of experience as a Data Product Analyst, Senior Business Analyst, Technical Business Analyst or Analytics Product Analyst.
Strong experience translating business objectives into detailed functional, technical and data requirements.
Hands‑on experience creating epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows and data mappings.
Practical understanding of data models, APIs, integrations, data pipelines and data‑quality principles.
Experience managing or refining product backlogs and identifying dependencies across multiple workstreams or use cases.
Experience working directly with Product Owners, architects, data engineers, governance teams and business stakeholders.
Experience with prototyping, UAT, user validation and iterative product development.
Ability to define meaningful KPIs and use evidence to make product recommendations.
Strong workshop facilitation, stakeholder management and written communication skills.
Fluent English and availability to work within the EU time zone.
Nice to have
Hands‑on SQL or data‑profiling capability.
Experience with commerce, retail, e‑commerce, customer, product, pricing or transaction data.
Experience with data governance, metadata, data lineage or data‑quality frameworks.
Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Swagger/OpenAPI, Postman, Collibra, Databricks or Snowflake.
Experience supporting shared data platforms or foundational data capabilities used by multiple products.
