Axpo Poland is seeking a senior leader to own and evolve our data platform as a strategic product. You will lead a combined Data Engineering and BI team and drive the data roadmap to deliver real business impact.

You will collaborate with stakeholders to translate technical topics into business value, ensure data quality and governance, and maintain a unified data architecture across sources and platforms. Fluency in English and Polish is required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.
• Experience leading a team, ideally in data engineering, data analytics, or business intelligence.
• Strong communicator who can connect technical topics with business needs.
• Hands‑on experience with data lakehouse architectures and BI tools – Snowflake and cloud platforms such as GCP.
• Familiarity with agile ways of working and sprint‑based delivery.
• Fluent in English and Polish.

Responsabilités

• Lead and grow the combined Data Engineering and BI team, building a collaborative, high-performing culture.
• Own the data roadmap and strategy, setting priorities from discovery through delivery.
• Partner with business stakeholders to translate technical topics into business value and drive data adoption.
• Drive data quality, governance, and the development of a trusted data catalog and data products.
• Ensure a unified data architecture and the smooth integration of new data sources and platforms.
• Track KPIs such as platform uptime, data quality, and delivery cadence, and plan team budget and resources.
