Qualifications
- Around 10+ years of experience leading data platform and/or data engineering teams in a complex enterprise
- Deep hands-on expertise with Databricks (Spark, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog) and cloud data stacks
- Strong understanding of lakehouse architectures and modern data stack principles
- Experience owning a technical platform end-to-end including reliability, security, and cost
- Track record of managing demand with business stakeholders and delivering outcomes
- Experience leading a team and developing talent
- Fluency in English
Responsibilities
- Own the technical strategy, architecture and roadmap for the data platform (Databricks as core compute)
- Define Service Description of platform options in a federated environment
- Lead platform reliability, performance, cost optimization and CI/CD standards
- Oversee data integration patterns, data contracts and observability
- Directly manage and develop a team of data engineers and platform engineers (4-7 people)
