Job summary

Instant Impact seeks a Data Governance & AI Lead to build scalable governance foundations across data, privacy and responsible AI in Kraków. You will establish data ownership, governance forums and standards, partnering with Risk, Compliance, IT and business teams to embed governance across platforms and analytics.

You will drive data literacy, ethical data use and governance maturity, with visibility across the organisation and potential to grow the governance function over time.

Qualifications

• Experience implementing and running Data Governance, Data Management or Data Risk programmes.
• Ability to design governance frameworks, policies and standards.
• Knowledge of data ownership, stewardship, quality, metadata, lineage and data risk.
• Ability to establish governance forums and convert support into participation.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop the data governance framework, policies and standards.
• Establish clear data ownership and stewardship across the business.
• Create data councils and governance forums with cross‑functional engagement.
• Define critical data, definitions, governance rules and standards.
• Implement controls around data quality, retention, access, metadata, lineage and usage.
• Own data risk agenda, assess and monitor risks, support remediation and reporting.
• Collaborate with Risk, Compliance and Security to align with regulatory expectations.
• Embed governance into data platforms and analytics, empowering self-service.
• Build data literacy and stewardship programs for everyday data practices.
• Champion responsible data use, ethics and transparency.
• Shape Responsible AI governance with ethical and regulatory considerations.
