Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in data engineering or a related field.
• Strong technical skills in data engineering, including Python, SQL and Scala.
• Familiarity with Azure cloud platform and services, and experience implementing data solutions in a cloud environment.
• Expertise in ETL frameworks, data pipelines, and data warehousing solutions.
• Proven experience leading and managing a team of data engineers.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and guidance to the data engineering team, mentoring and coaching for project delivery.
• Support team members with troubleshooting complex technical issues.
• Provide technical direction in data engineering, selecting tools, technologies, and methodologies.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define scope and create project plans.
• Support project managers to ensure timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
• Oversee data solution design and architecture for scalability and efficiency.
• Align coding standards and conduct code reviews to ensure quality.
• Identify and implement QA processes for data pipelines and workflows.
• Optimize data processing and storage for performance and cost savings.
