Job summary

Xebia is a global AI-first engineering partner seeking a Senior Data Engineer in Poland to design, build, and operate scalable data pipelines for reporting and analytics. You will work with Data, Architecture, Product, and Engineering teams to translate needs into robust data solutions.

The role requires 8+ years in Data Engineering, advanced SQL and Python, and hands-on Azure and Databricks experience. You’ll own production-grade pipelines, ensure reliability, and contribute to Data Platform

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional Data Engineering experience with production pipelines.
• Strong SQL and Python skills for data processing and analytics.
• Hands-on Azure and Databricks experience in data platforms and pipelines.
• Experience with modern data-platform and lakehouse concepts.
• Familiarity with version control, CI/CD, and monitoring practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, and deploy scalable data pipelines for reporting and analytics.
• Create production-ready pipelines for priority reporting use cases.
• Review and refactor pipelines for reliability, performance, and observability.
• Maintain pipelines to ensure daily data delivery.
• Collaborate with Data, Architecture, Product, and Engineering teams to translate needs into robust solutions.
• Onboard Core Products data workloads onto the Data Platform.
• Ensure pipelines align with architecture, governance, security, and standards.
• Ensure compliance with data modelling, code quality, testing, CI/CD, and monitoring.
• Own SRE practices for data pipelines and products.
• Diagnose data incidents, identify root causes, and implement fixes.
• Document data flows, dependencies, and operating procedures.
• Provide clear documentation and handover ownership.
• Share engineering practices with the Core Products data team.
