Tesco Technology is seeking a Data Engineer to expand and refine our data and data pipeline architecture in Kraków. You will optimize data flow, collaborate with software developers, data analysts, and scientists, and ensure consistent data delivery across projects.

The role emphasizes self-direction, data integrity, and the ability to support multiple teams and systems as we drive next-generation data initiatives.

Qualifications

• Mandatory skills: data processing with Spark (Scala or Python).
• Mandatory skills: data storage with HDFS/CEPH S3 or cloud alternatives.
• Mandatory skills: resource management with Yarn or cloud alternative.
• Mandatory skills: Lakehouse with Hive/Kyuubi or equivalent.
• Mandatory skills: workflow scheduling with Airflow or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture.
• Assemble large, complex data sets meeting business requirements.
• Identify and implement internal process improvements to automate data delivery and scalability.
