Job summary

GFT Technologies Poland is seeking a data-focused engineer to design and optimize high-throughput analytics on large time-series data in a hybrid Kraków-office setup. You will develop KDB+ processes, APIs, and analytics layers for AI/ML models, working closely with traders, quants, and product owners to deliver scalable, low-latency solutions.

The role emphasizes production-grade data processing, collaboration with data engineering teams, and ensuring resilience and compliance across platforms.

Job description

Join the AI Markets development team and help build and enhance a critical analytics and reporting platform based on high-volume market data. You will design and optimize data processing solutions, develop APIs and analytics capabilities, and work closely with traders, quants, sales teams, and product owners. The role offers the opportunity to work with one of the most advanced time-series technologies in the market while contributing to scalable, low-latency solutions that support reporting, analytics, and AI-driven use cases.

• Develop and optimize KDB+ processes and queries for low-latency and high-throughput environments


• Build analytics and aggregation layers for downstream applications, APIs, and AI/ML models


• Expose data and analytics through APIs and services for business and technology stakeholders


• Collaborate with AI and data engineering teams to deliver structured datasets for model training and execution


• Implement monitoring, alerting, and capacity management across KDB+ environments


• Ensure resilience, failover capabilities, and disaster recovery strategies for critical services


• Translate business requirements into technical solutions together with traders, quants, sales teams, and product owners


• Maintain compliance with operational risk, model risk, and data governance standards


• Participate in code reviews and contribute to development standards and best practices


• Support continuous improvement of platform capabilities and performance


• Strong hands-on experience working with large-scale datasets in production environments


• Proven experience optimizing high-volume and low-latency data processing solutions


• Experience with data engineering and distributed data platforms


• Strong knowledge of Unix/Linux environments


• Experience with scripting languages such as Python or Bash


• Strong knowledge of Git and version control practices


• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes


• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills in production environments


• Understanding of secure coding, data protection, and operational risk principles


• Experience within at least one trading domain such as FX, Rates, Credit, Equities, or Commodities


• Understanding of electronic trading, pricing, and risk concepts


• Ability to work closely with business and quantitative stakeholders
