Job summary

Uncover is seeking a Structural & Architectural Design Engineer to lead the design of our data center facilities in Poland. You will shape the building envelope, interior layouts, and load-bearing systems to support high-density AI GPU compute with liquid cooling, while meeting local codes and resilience standards.

Responsibilities include designing envelopes, interior space planning, load calculations, cable routing, lighting, and coordinating with MEP teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of structural and/or architectural design experience for industrial, warehouse, or critical infrastructure facilities.
• English proficiency sufficient for international project documentation.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary design (structural/architectural/MEP interfaces).

Responsibilities

• Design building envelope elements: exterior walls, façade, roofing systems, and insulation.
• Design internal partitioning and space planning, security zoning and fire compartmentalization.
• Perform structural load calculations for raised floors, POD racking areas, and rooftop equipment.
• Calculate floor loading capacity for IT racks including high-density liquid-cooled racks.
• Design tunnels and infrastructure pathways (cable trays, piping routes).
• Develop lighting design for white/gray spaces and exterior lighting per standards.
• Coordinate drawings with MEP team and ensure proper clearances for cooling piping and electrical distribution.
• Review design-build packages for risks and value engineering opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with local codes, fire safety, and resilience requirements.
• Coordinate with authorities on permitting matters.
