Job summary

Lufthansa Systems Poland is seeking an experienced Data Architect/Data Engineer to shape data platforms and drive migration to Databricks. You will design scalable data architectures, collaborate with stakeholders, and guide the development team in an international Agile environment.

The role requires 5+ years of relevant experience, strong SQL and PySpark skills, and availability to work from the Gdańsk office 2 days per week. An exciting career path and modern office await.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Architecture or Data Warehousing.
• Strong SQL and database programming (T-SQL, PL/SQL).
• Designing scalable data solutions and architectures.
• Hands-on with Databricks and modern data platforms.
• Proficient in PySpark and Python (Pandas, NumPy).
• Database optimization, performance tuning, partitioning and index management.
• Understanding data modelling and integration patterns.
• Version control with Git.
• Strong ownership, high-quality delivery mindset.
• Motivated to learn, grow and impact the team.

Responsibilities

• Translate business requirements into scalable data solutions.
• Design data architectures, models and integration patterns.
• Support architectural decisions and provide guidance to development teams.
• Assist migration from Teradata to Databricks within the data platform modernization.
• Design, develop and improve data processing solutions and pipelines.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define requirements and validate solutions.
• Ensure solution quality, performance, scalability and maintainability.
• Prepare technical documentation and architectural recommendations.
• Continuously improve technical standards and knowledge.
