Job summary

Avanade is seeking a Data & AI Engineer to design and deliver intelligent solutions on Azure using modern data practices, including Azure OpenAI and Azure AI Foundry. You’ll contribute to cross‑industry projects and take on data engineering work when required to build data pipelines and ETL processes.

You’ll connect AI components with enterprise data platforms, partner with data engineers to ensure high‑quality data feeds for AI workflows, and prototype emerging AI features for practical client

Qualifications

• Experience with the Azure AI stack (OpenAI, AI Foundry, Cognitive Services).
• Strong Python skills.
• Ability to translate AI concepts for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Knowledge of prompt engineering techniques.
• Solid data engineering fundamentals (ETL, data modeling).
• Experience with PyTorch and TensorFlow.
• Exposure to Databricks, ADF, MS Fabric.
• English at B2 level (or higher).

When required by the project, you’ll also take on Data Engineering work—building data pipelines and implementing ETL processes.

To Succeed In This Position, You Should Have

• Proven experience with the Azure AI stack (OpenAI, AI Foundry, Cognitive Services)
• Strong Python skills
• Comfort translating AI concepts into clear guidance for both technical and non-technical audiences
• Working knowledge of prompt engineering techniques
• Solid grasp of data engineering fundamentals (ETL, data modeling)
• Experience with ML frameworks such as PyTorch and TensorFlow
• Ideally, practical exposure to data engineering platforms and tools such as Databricks, ADF, MS Fabric
• English at B2 level (or higher)
