Job summary

Avanade in Kraków is seeking a Data & AI Engineer to design and deliver intelligent solutions on Azure, combining OpenAI, AI Foundry and other Azure AI capabilities with solid data engineering practices.

You will build AI-driven pipelines, collaborate with data engineers and solution architects, and progressively take on data engineering tasks as projects require. This role blends AI delivery with data platform integration across client environments.

Qualifications

• Proven experience with the Azure AI stack (OpenAI, AI Foundry, Cognitive Services).
• Strong Python skills.
• Comfort translating AI concepts into clear guidance for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Working knowledge of prompt engineering techniques.
• Solid grasp of data engineering fundamentals (ETL, data modeling).
• Experience with ML frameworks such as PyTorch and TensorFlow.
• Ideally, practical exposure to data engineering platforms and tools such as Databricks, ADF, MS Fabric.

Responsibilities

• Build and release AI solutions using Azure OpenAI and related Azure AI services.
• Connect AI components with enterprise data platforms, pipelines, and operational systems.
• Partner with data engineers to ensure high-quality, well-structured data feeds AI workflows.
• Prototype and evaluate emerging AI features, turning them into practical client-facing improvements.
• Step into a Data Engineering role when a project calls for it.
