Job summary

InPost is seeking a senior Data & AI leader to define and execute a data-first fintech strategy within its growing payments platform. You will own the data and AI agenda, working with cross-functional teams to deliver measurable business value.

You will build and scale the Data Engineering, Analytics, ML & MLOps, and Data Product teams, set governance, budget, and metrics, and partner with executive leadership to drive rapid, governance-backed decisions.

Qualifications

• 8+ years leading data engineering or ML organisations
• 5+ years managing managers or team leads
• Experience in financial services, payments or lending data platforms
• Fluent in Databricks/Spark at scale
• Experience building agentic systems in production (3+ years)
• Ability to work with VP/C-level stakeholders
• Fluent in English (B2+)

Responsibilities

• Define and own the Data & AI strategy and its delivery
• Build the organisation: Data Engineering, Analytics, ML & MLOps, Data Product
• Manage budget and tooling spend (e.g., Databricks, lakehouse)
• Provide board-level reporting on platform readiness, governance and delivery risk
