Haleon is seeking a Cyber Cloud, Data and AI SME Engineer to design, implement, and support advanced cloud security, data protection, and AI security across our environments. You will translate solution designs into robust, secure systems and work with architecture and delivery teams.

With 5+ years in cloud, data, or AI security, you will drive automation, incident response, and continuous improvement, while aligning with GDPR and other standards.

About the role

The Cyber Cloud, Data and AI SME Engineer is a senior technical engineering role responsible for the expert design, implementation, optimisation, and ongoing support of the organisation's cybersecurity solutions for cloud, data, and AI environments. This position provides deep technical expertise to ensure the effective delivery, integration, and BAU operation of cloud security, data protection, and AI security capabilities. The role reports to the Cyber Cloud, Data and AI Product Manager and works closely with architecture and engineering teams to translate solution designs into robust, secure, and maintainable systems.

Role Responsibilities

• Act as the subject matter expert for the design, build, configuration, integration, and optimisation of cybersecurity solutions for cloud, data, and AI environments.
• Participated in the technical implementation and deployment of new cloud, data, and AI security capabilities and enhancements.
• Provide expert engineering support for the day-to-day BAU operations, maintenance, troubleshooting, and performance tuning of cloud security, data protection, and AI security platforms.
• Collaborate with the Cyber Cloud, Data and AI Product Manager, Solution Architects, and delivery teams to ensure solutions are implemented effective and meet business and security requirements.
• Develop and maintain technical standards, configuration baselines, automation scripts, and operational procedures for cloud, data, and AI security systems.
• Support incident response and problem management activities related to cloud, data, and AI environments, including root cause analysis and permanent fixes.
• Monitor system performance, availability, and capacity, and drive continuous improvement and automation initiatives.
• Contribute to the evaluation and selection of new tools or enhancements within the cloud, data and AI security domain.

Basic Qualifications:

• +5 years of hands-on engineering experience in cloud, data, or AI security
• Deep hands‑hand expertise with cloud security platforms (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS), data protection and privacy technologies, AI/ML security controls and secure AI development pipelines.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure security tooling andcloud-native security solutions.
• Proven track record in implementing and supporting complex cloud, data, and AI security solutions in large‑scale, hybrid, or multi‑cloud environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with scripting and automation (PowerShell, Python, Terraform, REST APIs, etc.).
• Knowledgeof relevant regulationsandstandards (e.g.,GDPR, NIS Regulations,ISO27001,SOx,CSACCM).
• CISSPorCISM(orequivalent)
