Job summary

Haleon in Poznań, Poland seeks a skilled MES/IT engineer to support manufacturing execution systems, with a focus on Körber PAS-X and HighByte UNS. You will investigate issues, perform upgrades, and ensure data flows across IT/OT environments while maintaining compliance with GxP standards.

The role covers server and OS administration, databases, and virtualization, with occasional out-of-hours work as required by schedules. Hybrid work model."

Qualifications

  • Experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) or similar manufacturing platforms.
  • Windows Server and Linux administration and troubleshooting.
  • Integrating applications, systems or equipment across IT and OT environments.
  • UNS platforms such as HighByte or equivalent technologies.
  • Relational databases such as SQL Server, Oracle or PostgreSQL.
  • Technical change delivery, including upgrades, deployments, migrations or system integrations.
  • Scripting or automation using PowerShell, Python or Bash.
  • ITIL-based service management processes, including incident, problem and change management.
  • Working in regulated environments and familiarity with GxP principles, change control and validation processes.
  • Collaborating with a variety of technical and business stakeholders to deliver reliable platform services.

Responsibilities

  • Support and maintain MES platforms, focusing on PAS-X and UNS solutions.
  • Investigate and resolve application, platform and integration issues for stability.
  • Deliver system upgrades, patches, lifecycle refreshes and DR testing.
  • Support underlying environments: servers, OS, databases, storage, networking and access management.
  • Enable data flow between MES, UNS, shopfloor equipment and enterprise platforms.
  • Collaborate to integrate OT and IT environments and automation layers.
  • Support validation, audit and compliance activities to meet GxP and data integrity.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation and SOPs.
  • Improve platform reliability through monitoring, automation and standardization.
  • Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to improve service quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support and maintain Manufacturing Execution System platforms, with a focus on Körber PAS-X and HighByte-based Unified Name Space (UNS) solutions.
  • Investigate and resolve application, platform and integration issues to ensure stable and reliable operations.
  • Deliver system upgrades, patches, lifecycle refresh activities and disaster recovery testing in line with business and validation requirements.
  • Work with infrastructure and technology teams to support underlying environments, including servers, operating systems, databases, storage, networking and access management.
  • Enable and support data flow between MES, UNS, shopfloor equipment and other enterprise platforms.
  • Contribute to integrations across OT and IT environments, connecting manufacturing technologies with business systems and automation layers.
  • Support validation, audit and compliance activities, ensuring changes meet GxP, data integrity and security requirements.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures and knowledge articles.
  • Improve platform reliability through monitoring, automation and standardization initiatives.
  • Collaborate with vendors and internal technology teams to troubleshoot issues and continuously enhance service quality.
  • Participate in planned maintenance, deployment and upgrade activities, including occasional out-of-hours work when required by business schedules.
Qualifications and Skills Essentials

We’re interested in hearing from people who bring experience in manufacturing or other regulated environments and enjoy solving complex technical challenges. You may be a great fit if you have experience with:

  • Supporting Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) or similar manufacturing platforms.
  • Windows Server and Linux administration and troubleshooting.
  • Integrating applications, systems or equipment across IT and operational technology environments.
  • Unified Name Space (UNS) platforms such as HighByte or equivalent technologies.
  • Relational databases such as SQL Server, Oracle or PostgreSQL.
  • Technical change delivery, including upgrades, deployments, migrations or system integrations.
  • Scripting or automation using technologies such as PowerShell, Python or Bash.
  • ITIL-based service management processes, including incident, problem and change management.
  • Working in regulated environments and familiarity with GxP principles, change control and validation processes.
  • Collaborating with a variety of technical and business stakeholders to deliver reliable platform services.
Nice to Have Experience
  • Experience with Körber PAS-X.
  • Knowledge of networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, firewalls and TLS certificates.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.
  • Exposure to container platforms including Docker or Kubernetes.
  • Experience with industrial connectivity and automation technologies, including PLC integrations and protocols such as OPC UA, MQTT, Modbus or REST APIs.
  • Understanding of identity and access management, system hardening, monitoring and vulnerability remediation.Experience creating database queries and supporting reporting solutions.
  • Background in automation, manufacturing engineering or industrial systems.
