Job summary

KION Group AG is seeking a Cyber Security Engineer (Vulnerability Management) to join its Kraków IT Hub. The role focuses on operating and advancing enterprise vulnerability management with offensive security techniques, automation and AI-driven approaches across global IT, cloud and application environments.

You will perform hands-on penetration testing and build security workflows, collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve remediation processes and security posture.

Qualifications

  • 5–7 years of hands-on Cybersecurity experience, focusing on vulnerability management and penetration testing.
  • Experience with security automation and platform engineering; familiarity with AI-assisted tooling is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of OWASP Top 10 and secure design patterns; cloud and on-prem environments.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute internal penetration testing across infrastructure, web apps, APIs and cloud environments with actionable remediation.
  • Lead enterprise vulnerability assessments ensuring continuous coverage and risk-context for remediation prioritization.
  • Architect and enhance the vulnerability management platform and scanning infrastructure for scalability and integration with other security tools.
  • Design automation strategies to optimize detection, assessment and remediation workflows; reduce manual effort.
  • Develop security tooling and platform integrations using modern programming languages and frameworks.
  • Evaluate and operationalize AI-driven approaches to improve risk prioritization and security workflows.
  • Collaborate with DevOps, development and infra teams to promote secure design and remediation through automation.
  • Provide reporting and metrics on vulnerability trends, risk exposure and remediation progress to stakeholders.
