Job summary

KION Group is expanding its Kraków IT Hub and seeks a Site Reliability Engineer to join the Platform Operations Global Team. You will design, build, and operate cloud-based infrastructure and the Internal Developer Platform (IDP), automating deployments and improving reliability across Java-based and 3rd‑party applications.

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience in a similar SRE/DevOps role.
• Ability to debug, optimize and automate deployments.
• Experience with product monitoring and observability.
• Systematic problem-solving and effective communication.
• Agile mindset and willingness to learn.
• Fluent English, written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and evolve cloud-based platform infrastructure and the Internal Developer Platform (IDP).
• Automate platform components, deployments, and recurring operations.
• Implement and enhance observability with monitoring, logging, tracing, dashboards and SLOs.
• Ensure platform availability, stability and security with KION standards.
• Support onboarding of 3rd-party and SaaS solutions and participate in on-call rotation.

• Improve KION IT Services reliability:

• -Facilitate blameless postmortems
• -Derive improvement measures
• -Maintain and work on the operational issues backlog

• Support onboarding of new 3rd‑party and SaaS solutions to the team
• Contribute to maintaining operational readiness, including participation in the team’s on‑call rotation
• Operate, monitor, and take over custom-built and 3rd‑party Java-based applications on the platform, transitioning them from project teams to operations

Your Skills And Expertise

• Systematic problem-solving approach, coupled with effective communication skills
• Ability to work independently and make decisions on your own
• Demonstrable Agile mindset and willingness to learn and develop
