Job summary

Corning Inc. in Poland is seeking a customer service agent to support inquiries across Asia, handling quotes, orders, warranties, and escalations.

You will build product knowledge, work with cross-functional teams, and respond promptly via email and phone while maintaining professional customer interactions. The role requires fluent Polish and English, strong communication, proactive initiative, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Polish and English fluency (written and spoken).
• Experience in customer service or support environments is a plus.
• Ability to work in fast-paced settings and handle inquiries professionally.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers: support Asia time zones with flexible shift options (6 am–3 pm or 7 am–4 pm).
• Process inquiries regarding quotes, orders, status, complaints, returns, and warranties promptly and accurately.
• Resolve day-to-day customer issues via email, phone, and CRM tools.
• Develop knowledge of Corning products and processes to answer inquiries effectively.
• Report product failures to engineering/product teams via SAP.
• Coordinate with Sales, Technical Support, and Product teams to ensure timely resolution.
• Build strong relationships with customers and manage assigned accounts as needed.
• Engage customers in a friendly, professional manner to ensure exceptional experiences.
• Attend product training to stay current with industry trends.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist customers: Can work flexible hours (6 am–3 pm or 7 am–4 pm shift) to support customers in Asia. Promptly, professionally, and accurately process inquiries regarding quotes, orders, status, complaints, returns, and warranties
• Resolve day-to-day problems with customers via email, telephone and our Customer Relationship Management tool(s)
• Build expert, dynamic knowledge of the company\'s products and processes to effectively address customer inquiries
• Communicate product failures to engineering and product development teams via SAP
• Coordinate with Other Departments, such as Sales, Technical Support, Product Line Management, Data Management Organization, etc., to ensure that customer requests are handled effectively. Ensure timely notification, action, and resolution of customer issues
• Conduct research using available resources to provide comprehensive and satisfactory responses to customer questions
• Develop and maintain strong working relationships with external customers, managing assigned accounts as necessary
• Engage with customers in an inviting, friendly, and professional manner, creating positive relationships and ensuring exceptional experiences
• Attend necessary product training classes to enhance product knowledge and stay up to date with industry trend

REQUIREMENTS:

Fluent Polish and English language skills (both written and spoken)

• You are a born ‘detective’ and love paying attention to details
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with customers
• You are a self-starter who takes initiative and thrives in a fast-paced environment
• Confident utilizing search engines to get a task done
• Experience with MS Office Technology enthusiast
• Familiarity with Service Cloud and SAP is a plus
• Strong ability to learn and work independently or collaboratively with minimal supervision
