Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Cryogenic Maintenance Technician to conduct periodic maintenance, reconstitution, storage, and deployment of cryogenic assets in support of USAF requirements. You will follow PWS procedures, inspect assets, identify parts, and perform repairs to keep systems mission-ready.

The role requires 1–3 years in cryogenics or related maintenance, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.

Qualifications

• Formal training in mechanical maintenance of cryogenic equipment.
• 1–3 years’ experience in cryogenics or ground support equipment maintenance.
• Must have strong written and spoken English.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and operate related equipment.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust U.S. Government Clearance.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office for documenting maintenance records.

Responsibilities

• Complies with SOPs, instructions, and safety/environmental policies.
• Perform periodic maintenance, reconstitution, and storage of cryogenic assets.
• Inspect and evaluate cryogenic assets and components.
• Identify replacement parts and part numbers.
• Repair cryogenic assets and components; ensure equipment is mission-ready.
• Troubleshoot malfunctions and perform maintenance actions.
• Maintain calibration of cryogenic gauges and hydrostatic testing of samplers.
• Prepare assets for deployment and document maintenance records.
• Operate material handling equipment as required.
• Maintain HAZMAT inventories and coordinate disposal as needed.
