Societe Generale in Warsaw, Poland invites applications for a Credit Analyst to prepare credit applications for international clients and contribute to the team’s goals. Qualifications

  • Degree in economics or related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in credit in corporate banking.
  • Good command of English and potentially French.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare credit applications for large international companies in line with guidelines and timelines.
  • Write clear credit analyses based on counterparty study and proposed transaction details.
  • Check compliance of credit requests with company policies.
  • Comment on terms and conditions of credit; assess structure, amount, collateral.
  • Issue autonomous credit opinions and recommendations.
  • Launch credit applications in electronic tool and collect sign-offs.
  • Assign obligor ratings and upload in company tool.
  • Monitor assigned credit portfolio.
  • Collaborate with Warsaw and Paris teams and participate in reviews.

Responsibilities

As a Credit Analyst you will be based in Poland but people who will become your closest business partners are in Paris. Their day-to-day job consists of preparing credit applications for corporate clients and so will yours, as you will be assigned a portfolio of clients to contribute to the team’s goals. This opportunity will enable you to use English (or French if you feel comfortable with it) on daily basis and provide you with new level of professional challenges.

Your future scope of responsibility will cover:

  • Preparing credit applications (annual reviews/interim credit requests/credit opinions etc.) for large international companies from different sectors and different regions (Western and Central Europe, Africa) in compliance with guidelines, procedures and timelines
  • Writing a clear and concise credit analysis based on a general study of the counterparty and the understanding of the proposed transaction (nature of the line, maturity, amount)
  • Checking the compliance of the credit request with the existing company policies
  • Commenting on the terms and conditions as appropriate (structure, amount, collateral, credit matters defined in the legal documentation)
  • Issuing an autonomous credit opinion and giving a relevant recommendation
  • Launching credit applications in company electronic tool for signatures and collecting the appropriate sign-offs
  • Assigning obligor ratings and uploading it in company tool
  • Monitoring of assigned credit portfolio
  • Cooperating with both Warsaw and Paris teams, participating in regular operational review calls and reporting
Profile required
  • You have a degree in a field related to economics
  • You have at least 2 years of experience in credit in corporate banking business
  • You know English very well and perhaps even French
  • You know the secrets of successful cooperation with a distant team
  • You can easily write a concise summary of an analysis
  • You can cooperate with multiple partners from different business units
  • You are flexible, well organized and autonomous
  • You take responsibility for your work and its quality
