Job summary

Fortrea, a leading global CRO, is seeking a Contract Specialist II to negotiate and execute clinical trial agreements that support global studies. You will partner with sponsors, sites, legal teams, and study start-up colleagues to drive contract negotiations and ensure timely execution.

Ideal candidates have a bachelor's degree in Law, Life Sciences, Business, or related field and 3–4 years of contract negotiation experience in clinical research or pharma, with fluent English and strong

• Bachelor's degree in Law, Life Sciences, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3-4 years of experience in contract negotiation within clinical research, pharma, CRO, or healthcare.
• Proven experience negotiating and executing initial site agreements and other clinical trial contracts.
• Fluent English (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation, review, and negotiation of initial clinical trial agreements, site agreements, confidentiality agreements, and other study-related contracts
• Independently manage contract negotiations with investigative sites and other external parties
• Ensure timely contract execution to support study start-up and enrollment timelines
• Maintain accurate contract documentation and updates within internal systems
• Collaborate with Legal, Study Start-Up, Clinical Operations, and Sponsors to resolve contractual issues efficiently
• Identify risks, propose solutions, and escalate when needed
• Ensure compliance with applicable SOPs, ICH‑GCP guidelines, and contractual requirements
• Provide regular updates on negotiation status, timelines, and milestones to stakeholders

• Proven experience negotiating and executing initial site agreements and other clinical trial contracts
• Strong understanding of the clinical trial start-up process and contracting lifecycle
• Ability to manage multiple negotiations simultaneously in a fast‑paced environment
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Fluent English (written and spoken)
