Job summary

LGC Group's LGC Standards in Łomianki, Poland, is seeking an Accounting Specialist for an 18-month fixed-term contract to join our Finance team. You will own core accounting activities, support month-end close and statutory reporting, manage supplier payments, reconciliations and financial reports, and collaborate with Sales and other functions to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or a similar finance role.
• Fluent Polish (essential) and good written and spoken English.
• Good knowledge of Polish accounting regulations.
• Strong Excel skills and confidence working with financial data.
• A highly organised and accurate approach, with strong attention to detail.
• The ability to manage priorities and work independently while building strong relationships across the business.
• Experience with IFS and/or Symfonia ERP systems would be an advantage.
• Accounting or finance qualifications would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Owning core accounting activities, ensuring accurate and compliant financial records.
• Supporting month-end and year-end close processes, reporting, and statutory requirements.
• Managing supplier payments, reconciliations, and customer account balances.
• Preparing accounting documentation, tax-related information, and financial reports.
• Working closely with Sales and other business functions to support day-to-day operations.
• Collaborating with external accounting providers and ensuring high-quality service delivery.
• Identifying opportunities to improve and streamline financial processes.
• Helping ensure compliance with Polish accounting regulations, Group policies, and internal controls.
